Welcome. I am a relational psychologist in private practice in Berkeley with 20 years of clinical experience. I currently work with individuals and couples, specializing in the areas of life transitions, loss and grieving, women’s health, spirituality and creativity. I have particular expertise in working with women at vulnerable life stages, including perimenopause and menopause.
I believe in a developmental approach to psychotherapy, identifying when difficulties first emerged, and then understanding them within the context of the individual's life. This can help one choose how best to relate to personal challenges. I firmly believe in the innate resilience of all people to heal if given the space and time.
Facilitating a deep inquiry into what has blocked the healing process will help you to recognize how to thrive. The therapeutic process is progressive and cumulative, and can thus be used to help you build the optimal life that you envision.
“I am Me, and I hope to become Me more and more. That is surely the goal of all our struggles.”
